Graveside services for Mrs. George N. Garrettson, 95, of Friendship Village Retirement Center, will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Manson Family plot in Elmwood Cemetery,

A lifetime resident of Waterloo, Mrs. Garrettson died Wednesday morning at the retirement center of complications of age.

Parrott and Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Jessie Manson Garrettson was born in Waterloo on Sept 22. 1884. the daughter of Robert Bruce Manson and Midge Siberling Manson Place, both members of pioneer Waterloo families. Her paternal grandfather. Robert Manson. was one of the builders of the Illinois Central Railroad, Her maternal grandfather. P.J. Siberling, was a pioneer hardware merchant and banker.

In 1913. she married George N Garrettson. He died in 1544. She was the oldest living member of the First United Presbyterian Church, which she joined on Sept. 3, 1903

Survivors include two nephews, formerly of Waterloo. Bruce Manson Robertson of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, a retired executive vice president and director of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and James D. Robertson of San Francisco, a partner of Goldman Sachs & Company.
