Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Edward's Catholic Church for Lester A. Hemerson, 52, of 115 Easton Ave. He died about 3:30 p.m. yesterday at St. Francis Hospital of a heart attack. He had been ill since Friday noon.

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Fisher, pastor, will officiate. Friends may call after 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Oppold Funeral Home.

Mr. Hemerson was born Sept. 23, 1911, in Bradgate, the son of Albert and Eva Howell Hemerson. He married Veronica Eckes, who preceded him in death. He married Catherine Regan Marr on May 3, 1952, in Waterloo.

He was employed by the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 29 years in the methods department. He was a member of St. Edward's Church and the Holy Name Society.

In addition to his wife and his mother, now living in Sheldon, Ia., he is survived by a daughter, Mary, at home; a stepson, Donald Marr, Albuquerque, N. M.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Clarence Haskovec, Cresco; seven step grandchildren; four brothers, Noble and Harold, of Bradgate, Gordon of Omaha, and Dr. Donald Hemerson, DVM, Sheldon.

He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters, and a brother.
