WATERLOO - Maxine Turnipseed, 90, of Ridgeway Place, died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born July 21, 1915, in Waterloo, daughter of Donald and Ada Saucer Gilley. She married F. Newell Turnipseed on June 16, 1940, in Waterloo. He died Feb. 7, 2000.

Mrs. Turnipseed was employed with Alstadt-Langlas Baking Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1975.

Survived by a sister, Dorothy Averhoff of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a brother, Donald "Breezy" Gilley.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Garden Of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Valley Hospice.
