Dillon E. Wells, 67, of 816 Newton St., died yesterday at about 12:25 p. m. in Allen Memorial Hospital of cancer. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday at O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 3, 1895 in Lynneville, Iowa, the son of Cyrus and Etta Dillon Wells. He married Agatha Adair Nov. 22, 1916 in Decatur County. They moved to Waterloo in 1922. He was an employe of the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 18 years, retiring in 1961.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Earl, of Dayton, Ohio; Carl, Lancaster, Calif.; and Harold, South Gate, Calif.; a daughter, Ruth Wells, Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Clarence, Livermore, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Moore, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Jennie Hatfield, Lynneville, and six grandchildren.

His parents, two sons, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
