Services for Jessie H. Abel, 92, of the Woodlawn Convalescent Home, are pending at O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home. She died at the home Friday morning. She formerly lived at 510 E. Fourth St.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1882, in Canada, the daughter of Hiram and Charlotte Crow
Read. She came to the United States as a small child. She married William Kelchner in 1899 in Dixon, 111. After his death she married Frank Abel in 1923 in Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include a son, Calvin Kelchner, of 517 Riehl St.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Kretschmar, of Alhambra, Calif.

She was preceded in death by both husbands.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
