WATERLOO, IOWA - Mickey (Maxine) Russett, 51, of Waterloo, blessed her family on December 8, 1956, left them, and headed home February 9, 2008.

Mickey was the daughter of Robert and Darlene Russett of Waterloo.

She graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1975. She trained in jewelry design and manufacturing, working as a master goldsmith for Siebke Hoyt in Cedar Rapids. Mickey touched the lives of so many people while doing the things she loved. Her passions were baking cakes and cookies, and doting over family and friends.

Those thankful for sharing in Mickey's life are her son, Ryan of Phoenix; Robert and Darlene Russett, Khristine and Khristopher Kelson, and DuWayne and Janet Butz; her sisters, Cathy (Dan) Kuster, DeAnn Fitzgerald and Michele Burnes; her brothers, Bob (Beth) Russett, Perry (Gina) Russett, Rodney (Janet) Butz, Blake (Mary) Butz and Jason Butz; her special loves, Lindsay, Luke, Lauren, Holly, Jake, Hanna, Malissa, Rich, DuWayne, Cheryl, Jetsina, Clayton, Kaylie and Dillon; her extended family, Pam and Gary Shawyer, Tara Anderson, her family at Siebke Hoyt, Dr. Fitzgerald & Associates, Urbana Medical Center, and her loving friends at Covenant Oncology Center.

A celebration of Mickey's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Garden and Pleasant streets, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.

A memorial fund has been established in her name at P.O. Box 1292, Waterloo 50704.
