WATERLOO - Sylvia C. Benzer, 86, of Buffalo, Minn., formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, June 26, at the Sunrise Cottage, Buffalo.

EShe was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Oelwein, daughter of Peter A. and Trena Ellefson Anderson. She married Robert Benzer on June 14, 1942, in Oelwein. He died March 23, 2005.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Jr. (Myra) of Dubuque and Thomas (Bernis) of Buffalo; a daughter, Karen (Loyd) Simmons of Waterloo; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Allina Hospice in St. Paul, Minn.
