Mrs. Christ Hagen, 84. died at 8:15 p. m.. Thursday at her home in Hillcrest apartments, of complications. She had been ill since last Monday.

Johanna Beyer was born Feb. 28, 1848, in Davenport, the daughter of William and Henrietta Beyer. She was married in 1868 to Christ Hagen at Davenport. Six years later the couple moved to Gladbrook, where they resided until coming to Waterloo 19 years ago. Mr. Hagen died Nov. 19, 1926.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Fred Ploog, and two grandchildren, Violetta Ploog and Irvin Ploog, all of 820 Second Street West; another grandchild, Mrs. L. R. Bunman, and a great grandchild, Wayne Buhman, both of 108 Randolph Street, and a brother, Albert Beyer, St. Paul, Minn.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Kistner chapel. Rev. G. E. Melchert. pastor of Trinity American Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
