Farmer Dies at
Home of Daughter

Barclay Township - June 25.—Andrew Ortner, 86, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John [Rose] Schmitt.

Mr. Ortner was born March 6, 1843, in Austria, coming to Freeport, Ill, in 1843 and to Iowa in 1864. He had lived here ever since.

Surviving is the daughter. Mrs. Schmitt; four sons, Joseph, Henry, Charles and Casper, and a brother.; John Ortner, all of Barclay Township.

Funeral services were held in Barclay church this afternoon, Rev. Mr. Naebers officiating. Pallbearers were J. J. Meier, Michael Staebell, Nic Wellner, George Wellner, Albert Schmitt and John Fetkcther.
