Henry Ortner, 76, died of complications incident to advanced age at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Convalescent Home.

A farm resident of Barclay Township all his life untii retiring in 1959, Mr. Ortner was born April 4, 1885, a son of Andrew and Rosalie Wingert Ortner. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He never married.

Surviving are Joseph Ortner of 211 Logan Ave., and Casper, Independence.

He was preceded in death by parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Duane Brady, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary service is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.
