Jack W. Boiler, 80, of 139 Madison St., died Friday, Aug. 30, 1997, at Covenant Medical Center on Kimball, of natural causes.

He was born May 9, 1911, in Nevada, son of Richard and Florence Allen Boiler. He married Frances S. Storrs April 1,1932, in Nevada.

He worked at the Construction Machinery Company as a shipping clerk, retiring in 1976. He also was a Waterloo artist, exhibiting many of his watercolor paintings in the area.

Survivors include his wife; a son, F. Richard Boiler of Panama, N.Y.; three sisters, Betty Lehman of Nevada, Larella Maurer of Ames and June Terrell of Des Moines; a brother, Allen of Atlantic and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to First Congregational Church of Waterloo. Locke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
