CEDAR FALLS – Jeanne D. Casey, 87,of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 3, 1926, in Spearfish, S.D., daughter of Herbert and Alice Mitchell Dillavou. She married Maurice "Dick" Casey on May 24, 1947, in Waterloo.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1944. She worked in the cafeteria at Blessed Sacrament for 17 years. She also spent many years volunteering at Covenant Medical Center, Goodwill and the church.

Survived by her husband; two sons, David (Joan) of Urbandale and Patrick (Kim) of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Erin Casey, Sean Casey and Alyssa Blair-Casey; a stepgrandson, Jack Thode; a sister, Joanne Lynch of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James (Eileen), Rodney (Elynne) and Darrell (Donna) Dillavou.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

Jeanne was a very loving, caring and generous person to her family, church family and neighbors.
