EVANSDALE - Mildred L. Schroeder, 97, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Evansdale, died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at Bickford Cottage, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 27, 1907, in Fredericksburg, daughter of Fay and Ella Niewoehner Stone. She married Herman "Swede" Schroeder Sept. 30, 1929, in Waterloo. He died April 10, 1987.

Mrs. Schroeder was an organist at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Evansdale, for 18 years.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Leo, Harold and Lawrence Stone, and a sister, Crystal Mattke.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Evansdale, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories and for an hour prior to services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Evansdale, or Cedar Valley Hospice.
