WATERLOO – Gerald Dean Tyacke, 80, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 5, 1932, in Waterloo, son of Clarence and Almena Ferguson Tyacke. He married Barbara Makowski on March 4, 1957, in Milwaukee. She died March 26, 1995.

Mr. Tyacke was employed with American Motors and later Chrysler Corp. for 32 years, retiring in 1988.

Survived by a son, Christopher (Deanne) of Suffolk, Va.; a daughter, Pamela Hall of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a grandson, Erik Hall; a great-granddaughter, Tesla Hall; three brothers, Ronald of Orange County, Calif., Marvin of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Robert (Sharon) of West Allis, Wis.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Tyacke; a sister, Bonnie Able; and two brothers, Kenneth and Clinton.

There will be no services or visitation. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway assisted the family.
