WATERLOO - Rory Cormier, 54, of Waterloo, formerly of California, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born March 12, 1959, in San Jose, Calif., son of Leo and Marrietta Belisle Cormier. He married Leah Markley, and they later divorced. He married Pamela Olsen, and they later divorced.

He graduated from Santiago High School in Orange County, Calif. Mr. Cormier worked for the Teamsters as an apprentice plumber and as a truck driver in California. He was the tenant president at Cedar River Tower in Waterloo.

Survived by four sisters, Susan (Dennis) Kerr of Waterloo, Carol Reed of Port Richey, Fla., and Nancy (Frank) Merrifield and Debbie Cormier, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; and two brothers, Randal (Judy) and Rodney (Denise), both of Anaheim, Calif.;

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ronald.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Valley Community Church, with inurnment in California at a later date. Visitation will be for an hour before services Monday at the church. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
