Kyle Edward Zey was born in Waterloo, Iowa, June 16, 1984. Kyle was the son of Randy and Diane (Ellison) Zey. He attended Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy and the University of Northern Iowa. Kyle would have been a sophomore at UNI where he was majoring in real estate finance. Had the Lord not called Kyle home, he dreamed of building log homes and ski resorts in Colorado.

On Sunday, June 27, 2004, Kyle rededicated his life to the Lord.

Kyle had one sister, Letisha, who he was very close to. She has lost her little "big" brother, teammate in many ways, and lifelong friend. They did everything together. As a family, they enjoyed being active in every way and vacationing together. At Clear Lake they spent every summer weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Ellison where they enjoyed skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, jet skiing and playing volleyball.

Vacations were spent in West Yellowstone snowmobiling, Lake Powell on a houseboat, and Colorado and Wyoming hiking, rock climbing, white water rafting, mountain hiking, camping, snow skiing and snow boarding, They went to Arizona during spring break to visit Grandpa and Grandma Zey where they hiked, climbed Bell Rock and went mountain hiking. They also loved Florida beaches and visiting Walt Disney World and Hawaii, where they snorkeled, and Dad and Kyle attempted surfing.

Kyle had a high energy level and was always planning parties and activities with his friends. He made friends very easily and could incorporate his friends from high school with his new friends from college and work.
Kyle's new best friend was Stacey Carlson. Stacey easily became a part of our family, enjoying the high energy level of activity Stacey, we love you and feel as if you are an adopted daughter. We will always be your second family.

Kyle is survived by his dad and mom; his sister, Letisha; his grandparents, Harry and Jeanne Zey of Cedar Falls and Maynard and Beverly Ellison of Waterloo.

He is also survived by loving uncles and aunts, Rusty (Sue) Zey, Roger (Tina) Zey, Robert (Molly) Zey John (Roxana) Ellison, and their families We love you, Kyle, and would not have asked God for any better child. Your energy, cheerfulness, enthusiasm and faith made your parents and those around you veiy proud of you

Though we will never understand why this has happened your parents and sister, your girlfriend and family will be trusting the Lord in the coming days because each one of us know our God is Sovereign and loves you even more than we do. To Kyle's friends and family — please stop by to give us a hug. Write memories of time spent together and keep talking about Kyle.
