WATERLOO -- Roger K. Drape, 74, of Manitowoc, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Zilber Family Hospice, Wauwatosa, Wis., after a short illness.
He was born May 2, 1939, in Tripoli, son of Erwin and Marie Struck Drape. He married Jean R. Biermann on Jan. 25, 1959. She died Nov. 5, 1989. He married Winifred Schneck on Aug. 5, 1995.
Mr. Drape graduated from Tripoli High School in 1957. He retired from I.W.I. Motor Parts in 1995, after working for many years as a purchasing agent for Lewis Motor Supply, Waterloo.
Survived by his wife; two daughters, Dana (Tom Foley) Drape of Des Moines and Michaela (Randy) Waschkat of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Sarah (Mike) Driscoll of Hingham, Mass.; a stepson, Jason (Joanne Hinkel) Schneck of New York, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler and Ethan Foley, Haley and Olivia Waschkat, Maggie and Nelson Driscoll, and Celia Schneck; two brothers, Dale (Jolane) of Chesterfield, Mo., and Gaylen (Nora) of Melbourne, Fla.; and two sisters, Diane (Warren) Snyder of Omaha, Neb., and Sheryl (Lew) Williams of Welch, Minn.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with a luncheon following. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Melnik Presbyterian Church, Melnik, Wis., preceded by an hour of visitation. A luncheon will follow.
Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra, the Manitowoc Domestic Violence Center, Melnikk Presbyterian Church, or Westminster Presbyterian Church in Waterloo.
