WATERLOO -- Thomas R. Reed, 58, of Waterloo, formerly of Dysart, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 at Allen Hospital.

He was born Sept. 1, 1955, in Dysart, son of Robert and Ruby Reed. He married Sharilyn Hart on April 24, 1982, and they later divorced.

Mr. Reed graduated from Dysart High School in 1973. He had worked in the Cedar Valley as a car salesman for many years, also as a service manager and maintenance technician.

Survived by two sons, Rex and Ross, both of Waterloo; a daughter, Hillary of St. Louis; three brothers, Greg (Joan) of Grapevine, Texas, Randy of Waterloo and Tim of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Kristine (Tom) Birge of Half Moon Bay, Calif., and Kathy Plummer of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, 1604 Hammond Ave., Waterloo.
