Services for Donald B. Gardner, 58, of 3508 Loralin Drive, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward's Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Gardner died Sunday night (Oct. 5, 1986) at Covenant Medical Center, Kimball Avenue after a lengthy illness.

He was born April 13, 1928, in Gilbertville, son of Peter and Anna Neisen Gardner. He married Vivian M. Bedard on Jan. 15, 1948, in Waterloo. He was owner and operator of Don Gardner Construction Co.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Julianne Kahn of Waterloo; four sons, Thomas of Strawberry Point, Mark and Lee, both of Waterloo, and Scott at home; six grandchildren; three brothers, Claude of Franklin, Tenn., Patrick of Evansdale and Peter J. of Waterloo; and six sisters, Mrs. Rita Homolka, Mrs. Lucy Duff and Mrs Petronilla Yarrington, all of Waterloo, Mrs. Bernadette Ohrt of Winthrop, Mrs. Doretta Menuey of Evansdale and Mrs. Ann Kayser of Independence.

He was preceded by four infant children.

A Scripture service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Oppold Funeral Home, where friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the church, Cedar Valley Hospice, Catholic Worker House or the Growing Edge Pastoral Center.
