WATERLOO - Arlien Oberle, 86, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Jan. 2, 1927, in South Dakota, and was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Gallogly. She married Robert John Oberle on Aug. 1, 1946, in Waterloo. He died April 29, 1970.

Mrs. Oberle was a homemaker.

Survived by seven sons, Daniel (Kathy) of Texas, William of New York, Gerald of Colorado, James (Barb) of Waverly, Lawrence (Kathy) of Oklahoma, Gregory of Cedar Falls and Kevin (Lori) of Waterloo; a daughter, Sue of Utah; 25 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald; and three daughters, Bette, and two as infants.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. Legion of Mary rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
