WATERLOO—Bertha Regina "Bert" Hennagir, 86, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Allen Hospital from complications of surgery

She was born Dec. 31, 1917, in St. Benedict, daughter of Johri and Mary Studer Fasbender.

She married Harold Joseph Hennagir on Oct 3, 1936, in St. Benedict He died Sept 18, 1989. Mrs. Hennagir was employed for several years as a pharmacy assistant at St. Francis Hospital. Until her retirement, she was employed in sales of women's clothing at Seiferf's for 25 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Marlene A. Gertrude Beitelmann Colwell of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sharon M. Spears of Denver; eight grandchildren, Mark J. and Martin L. Colwell, Lise M. Smith, John T (Becky) Colwell, Lynn M. Clark, Michelle S. (Duane) Frost, Kathleen D. (Lynn) Kuecker, Julie A. (William) McCray; 16 great-grandchildren, Jessica (Tony) Spedini, Tony, Shannon, Maggie, Timothy and Sara Colwell, Brian and Christie Smith, Jennifer Zeck, Lindsey, Tyler and Justin Frost, Amber, Michael and Emily Kuecker, Cayd McCray, and two great-greatgrandchildren, Keith Smith and Tristan Zeck.

Preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wayne Spears, died June 16, 2000; a great-great-grandson, Blake Smith; two brothers, Ramie and John Fasbender; and two sisters, Irene (Eddie) Gilles and Agatha Fasbender.

Services: were 10:30 a.m. today at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family with a beneficiary to be determined at a later date.
