Robert “Bob” Burgstrum, 88, of Bettendorf, formerly of Waterloo, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 12th and Brady St., Davenport. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, 3625 Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Private inurnment will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport, at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral or to the Honor Flight of the Quad-Cities.

Mr. Burgstrum was born in 1925 to Clifford and Mildred Burgstrum in Council Bluffs. On Aug. 24, 1947, he was united in marriage to Jean Keyes in Omaha. She preceded him in death. He worked in personnel management at John Deere Waterloo Works in 1963 and retired from Deere & Co., Moline, in 1986 after a total of 22 years.
