Services for Jack G. Hickman Sr., 58, of Waterloo, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hagerman Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. He died 'Sunday morning at his home. His death was ruled suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning, according to County Medical Examiner Dr. Albert Dolan.

Mr. Hickman was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Waterloo, son of Ora and Pearl Smith Hickman. He married Janet Gorman Oct. 12, 1948, in Toledo.

He worked for Deere & Co. as a machinist for the past 25 years.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Jack Jr. and Jamie, both of Waterloo ; four daughters, Jan Davis of Haddon Heights, N.J., Joanne Metheny of Des Moines, Jill Webb of Littleton, Colo., and Joyce Rand of Waterloo; three brothers, Harold Hickman of Waterloo, Verle Hickman of Marshalltown and Dale Hickman of George, Wash.; three sisters, Lucille Jones, Virginia Barnett and Marilyn Deeds, all of Waterloo; 18 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Kearns- Dykeman Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services at the church on Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home in care of Hagerman Baptist Church.
