LA PORTE CITY -- Carolyn Ann Jager, 70, of La Porte City, died at home Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.

She was born Nov. 16, 1942, in Independence, daughter of LaVern and Delores Voland Crew. She married Ivan Jager on March 12, 1965, in Jesup.

Mrs. Jager graduated from Jesup High School. She worked for Richfield Men’s and Women’s Clothiers, and Marla’s House of Larger Fashions, both in Waterloo, and most recently Regions Bank in Waterloo, retiring in 2006.

Survived by her husband; a son, Michael (Joy) of Ryan; two grandchildren, Tara (Joe) Henry and Jayson (Nikki) Schlarmann, both of Waterloo; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Brendyn, Hadley and Hayden; a sister, Barb (Wayne) Latwesen of New Hartford; a nephew, Steve (Marlas) Latwesen of New Hartford; and a niece, Connie (Brad) Feckers of Shell Rock.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, La Porte City, with burial at 3 p.m. in Silver Creek Methodist Cemetery, Ryan. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today and an hour before the services Friday, all at the church. La Porte City Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
