CEDAR FALLS -- Viola Jungling Bobst, 91, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Evansdale and Sebeka, Minn., died at Cedar Falls Healthcare Center Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Butler County, daughter of Cornelius and Katie Folkerts Jungling. She married Marvin K. Bobst on Sept. 20, 1939, in Northwood. He died Dec. 6, 2003.

Mrs. Bobst and her husband dairy farmed in Sebeka for 30 years.

Survived by a son, Darvin (Lyn) of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Russell (Diane) Kohrs, Pamela (Greg) Rottinghaus, Michael Kohrs, Joseph (Karen) Bobst and James (Shawn) Bobst; a grandson-in-law, Jim Sadler; nine great-grandchildren, John, Lindsay (Ethan), Haley, David, Jaime, Braxton, Emma, Peyton and Brady; and two great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Liam.

Preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Kohrs; a granddaughter, Sandra Sadler; two brothers, Arthur and Harry Jungling; and a sister, Grace Barth.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Dumont Cemetery, Dumont. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Viola was an excellent mother and homemaker. She loved to crochet, bake and was famous for her scalloped corn and pickled beets.
