WATERLOO -- Chad Jeremy Niichel, 39, of Waterloo, died in a mobile home fire in Waterloo on Monday, Sept. 9. 2013.

He was born May 5, 1974, in Waterloo, son of Joy McGrane and Jeff Albright.

He attended Waterloo Schools and later earned his GED. He was in the armed forces for three years, stationed in San Antonio.

Survived by a daughter, Jasmine Niichel of Florida; his mother of Clear Lake; his father of Dunkerton; two sisters, Sara Steimel of Waterloo and Lindsey Albright of Texas; four brothers, Luke (Stevie) Steimel of Des Moines, Keith Steimel of Waterloo, Jason Albright of Washburn and Scott (Allie) Albright of Reinbeck; nieces and nephews, Madison, Alexis, Aubrey, Mason, Caleb and Jaxson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl Niichel; his paternal grandparents; and special friend, Sheryl Pringle.

Celebration of Life Memorial: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Casey's Pub on University Avenue, Waterloo.
