WATERLOO -- Dona Mabel Geerlings, 92, of Riverside, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Kalona.

She was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Hall County, Neb., daughter of William and Mabel Rogers Gustin. On Dec. 31, 1948, she married Petrus Jacobus Geerlings. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Central Christian Church, Waterloo.

Survived by two sons, Pete Jay (Barbara) of Orange County, Calif., and Tim (Antoinette Venckus) of Riverside; a daughter, Jill Geerlings-Schmidt of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane “Betty” Hamilton of Arizona; and a brother, Bill Gustin of Oconomowoc, Wis.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tom; a brother, Bob Gustin; and two sisters, Jean House and Lois Alber.

Graveside services were at 11:30 a.m. today at Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery, Rock Island, Ill.
