HALL, HAMMON, EDWARDS

Deacon Samuel Hall died at his residence, near this city, at 7:15 Sunday morning, the 15th, of pneumonia. He was 75 years old the 9th of last March and had lived in this section for the past 26 years.

He lived in Massachusetts until he came west and in 1856 he located in this county. When eleven years of age he joined the Baptist church and has ever lived a consistent and earnest Christian life. All who knew him recognized his great worth of character and every one held him in high esteem.

He leaves four children Dr. Robert Hall, of Chicago, Mrs. M. E. Hammon, who resides in Nebraska, and Mrs. A. J. Edwards and Miss Maroa Hall, who live here. One son was killed in the army.

The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were conducted by Rev. R. Garton.
