WATERLOO — Ann Borchers, 84, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born March 11, 1929, in Butler County, daughter of Treno and Jennie Hinders Evers. She married Russell S. Borchers on Sept. 3, 1966, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. He died Oct. 24, 1994.

Mrs. Borchers worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing Co. for many years, the last as a painter on the paint line, and she then worked as a TV hostess at Allen and Covenant hospitals.

Survived by a brother, Treno (Eunice) Evers of Waterloo; two bothers-in-law, Bob Ghoske of Iowa Falls and Albert Borche of Ackley; nieces and nephews, Kevin Evers and Mary (David) Corbut, both of Texas, Ann Ghoske of Cedar Rapids, Allen Ghoske of Iowa Falls and Karla (Sam) Summerhays of Waterloo, and their children Scott Evers, Josh Summerhays and Dakota Corbut.

Preceded in death by a sister, Gert Borchers; two brothers, Clarence and Johnny Evers; and close friend, Leonard Brumbaugh.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Locke Funeral Home, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial at 3 p.m. in East Friesland Church Cemetery, German (near Ackley).
