DOXEY, KNOWLES, WILSON, PALMER

Mrs. Lillie M. Doxey, 54, Rath Peck building, widow of Frank Doxey, was found dead in bed Sunday morning at the home of Mrs. Ella Smith, Charles City, with whom she was visiting for several days before going to Long Beach, CA to spend the winter with her step-daughter, Mrs. Marie Palmer. The coroner was called and declared that Mrs. Doxey's death was due to a heart attack.

Lillie M. Knowles was born in Cedar Falls and was married to Frank Doxey about 30 yrs ago. Her husband was found dead in bed in Waterloo in May 1932, while she was visiting in Charles City.

Surviving are her stepmother, Mrs. Montgomery Wilson of Cedar Falls; her stepdaughter, Mrs. Palmer; a stepson, Harry Doxey, of Adams, WI and a brother-in-law, Clifford Doxey of 220 Fremont St. in Waterloo.

The body was brought to the O'Keefe & Towne funeral home Monday afternoon.

Arrangements for services will not be made until the arrival of Mrs. Palmer from California.

Services for Mrs. Lillie Doxey. 54. Rath-Peck building, who died Sunday at Oelwein, la., will be at 2pm Saturday in the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home with Vaneta B. Nielsen, Christian Science reader, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
