Funeral services for Ella James Evans, 5-year-old daughter of Rev and Mrs. John Crippen Evans, who died Thursday at the family home in Escanaba, Mich., from pneumonia, were conducted at 9:30 a.m. today in the Kearns Chapel, Rev. J. G. Crecde, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, beside the remains of Rev. Mr. Evans' father, Rev. Thomas Evans, a former Waterloo pastor.

The child was born Sept. 13, 1923 at Mlddletown, Conn., and moved with her parents to Havre. Mont, when she was one year old. The family subsequently moved lo Escanaba.

Surviving, besides her parents, is a sister, Irma, 12.
