John O'Brink, 74, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clara Engleman, 1220 Bluff Street, of heart trouble and complications. He had been ill about three years.

Mr. O'Brink was born in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Oct. 7, 1854*. He was married to Miss Clara Tubbs at Mason City March 18, 1880, and the family resided there until two years ago when Mr. and Mrs. O'Brink removed to Waterloo.

Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. O'Brink. Seven of them besides Mrs. O'Brink, survive. The children are: Mrs. Jane Teathmen, St. Mogul, Cal., and Henry Chan, William O'Brink, Mrs. Engleman, Mrs. A. R. Hughes, and Mrs. R. M. Barman, all of Waterloo.

Funeral services will be at O'Keefe & Towne Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Charles V. Lannholm, pastor of Union Congregational Church in charge. Burial will be in Fairview.
