Mrs. Rachel A. Robbins, 76, of 218 West Ninth Street, widow of Edwin C. Robbins, died at 7 p. m. Thursday at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart ailment and complications.

She had been associated with the Salvation Army nearly all of her life and had been a resident of Waterloo for 25 years.

She was born on Feb. 5, 1865, in Scott County, Iowa, the eldest daughter of Wesley and Deliverance Robbins. She was married to Edwin C. Robbins on July 4, 1883, at Fairmont, Neb.

The couple came to Iowa 32 years ago, living on a farm in Benton County seven years before coming to Waterloo. Mrs. Robbins was a past officer and active member of the Salvation army.

Surviving are three sons: Roy, 219 Mohawk Street, and George and Clifford, Chicago. Three grandsons and one great-granddaughter also survive. Two other children preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Salvation Army citadel by Maj. Eberhardt Sherping, with burial at Buckingham, la.
