CEDAR FALLS — Gary T. Anderson, 68, of Cedar Falls, died at home Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.

He was born Jan. 21, 1945, in Caledonia, Minn., son of Tobert G. and Ovedia M. Halverson Anderson. He married Patricia M. “Pat” Thompson on Aug. 14, 1965, in Houston, Minn.

Mr. Anderson worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 32 years, retiring in 1996. For the last 10 years, he and his wife have traveled overseas bringing God’s word to the mission field. He was a member of Celebration First Assembly of God Church

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Janelle (Chuck) Christensen of North Liberty, Ondrea (Dennis) Paulson of Muskego, Wis., and Jackie (Kenneth) Macon of St. Charles, Minn.; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Marion Frickson and JoAnn (David) Amundson, both of Houston, Minn.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Celebration First Assembly of God Church, Waterloo, with inurnment at a later date in Stone Church Cemetery, Houston. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and an hour before services Saturday at the church. Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
