REINBECK - Mary Lee Staker, 60, of Reinbeck, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Waterloo, daughter of John and Helen Kennedy Syhlman. On April 10, 1976, she married Michael Louis Staker in Cedar Falls.

Mrs. Staker graduated from Dike High School in 1962, then worked as a bookkeeper at Universal Industries, Waterloo, for 13 years. Later she did bookwork for her husband's business in Reinbeck, B&M Tractor Service.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Micah of Reinbeck; two stepdaughters, Robin Staker of Lamar, Colo., and Rhonda (Terry) Leonard of Muscatine; a brother, John (Kathryn) Syhlman of Moravia; and two sisters-in-law, Kay (Don) Koch of Reinbeck and Arla Beth (Dale) Folkerts of Grundy Center.

Preceded in death by a brother, Donald Syhlman.

Graveside memorial services: 2 p.m. Monday at Reinbeck Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the Reinbeck United Methodist Church.
