Funeral services for James Lewis Lake, 58, .of 1440 Bertch Ave., who died Saturday afternoon at Schoitz Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church with the pastor, Dr. C. Vin White, officiating. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home until noon Wednesday.

He was born Jan. 23, 1912 at Perry, Mo., son of Joe and Bessie Brown Lake, and was married here Nov. 24, 1936, to Kathryn Mather.

A resident 34 years of the Waterloo area, he was employed 18 years by the Rath Packing Company.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Timothy of 109 Elmwood, Steven in Army service based at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Scott, at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
