WATERLOO - Harold E. Konrardy, 73, of 534 Bayard St., died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at his home.

He was born Aug. 9, 1932, in Cascade, son of Andrew and Louise Feldman Konrardy. He married Marlys Braun Sept. 27, 1958, in Waterloo.

He graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1949. Mr. Konrardy worked at Winterbottom Supply for 19 years, 1972 to 1991, in the heating trade in Waterloo, and for Gene Bond for a number of years.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1944, was past president of the Sacred Heart School Board and was a 50-year member of United Commercial Travelers, and past grand counselor for the Jurisdiction of Iowa in 1982. He was a Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree and past navigator of the 4th Degree.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Greg (Cindy) of Columbia, Mo., Mark (Michelle) of Cedar Falls and James (Rita) of Waterloo; five daughters, Linda (George) Langham, Sarah (Martin) Craig, Kay Konrardy and Kathy Konrardy, all of Waterloo, and Barb (Kevin) Clendenen of Mendota, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, M.J. "Bud" (Ruth) of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Dr. E.J. Vorman of Sumner; and a sister-in-law, Ida Konrardy of Burnsville, Minn.

Preceded in death by a grandson, George Andrew Langham; a brother, Everett; and a sister, Anita Vorman.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home, where there will be a 6 p.m. 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.
