A one-car accident Sunday morning in the 3700 block of Airline Highway resulted in the death of a Falls man. 21-year-old Cedar Falls man.

The victim, James Roy Copp, of 2235 Lincoln St., lot 88, died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday of internal injuries at Allen Memorial Hospital, two hours after the accident.

Police said the accident occurred at about 6:35 a.m. when Copp's car struck a utility pole after Copp passed another vehicle.

A witness said Copp apparently lost control of his vehicle, police reported. Copp's vehicle was westbound at the time of the mishap police said.

Funeral services for Copp are pending at the Dahn-Wood- House Funeral Home in Glidden.
Kearns-Dykeman Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Copp was the son of Howard and Lois Hanks Copp of Glidden.
