EVANSDALE - Larrine M. Mott, 81, of Evansdale, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born May 4, 1924, in Boone, the eldest daughter of Ira E. and Nellie May Larrew Hartman Sr. She was raised and educated in Boone. She married Kenneth W. Mott on Nov. 18, 1944, in Boone.

Mrs. Mott and her husband made their home in Waterloo most of their married life, and she worked at Hinson Manufacturing, Powers Manufacturing, Cadillac Bowling Alley and several other restaurants. During World War II she worked in Ankeny at the Ankeny Ordinance Plant. She was also active in the auxiliaries of Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo VFW Post 1623.

Family was the center of her life and she loved them dearly. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, crocheting and creating afghans.

Survived by her husband of 61 years, Ken; a son, Patrick (Paula) of Evansdale; two daughters, Cynthia (Richard) Blonigan of Des Moines and Teresa (Ron) Salow of Evansdale; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Irene Jones of Evansdale, Louella Troutwine of Colona, Ill., and Evelyn Weidemeier and Iva (Alvin) Carrier, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter; and a brother, Ira Hartman Jr.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where there will be a 4 p.m. parish rosary.
