John K. Gillespie, 76, of Harmony House, died Friday, Jan. 21, 1994 at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Garrison, the son of James and Jessie Solt Gillespie. He farmed in Benton County for many years.

Survived by a brother, Elwyn G. of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by three sisters.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, rural La Porte City. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service tune Tuesday at the funeral home.
