WATERLOO - Lorna M. Cavanaugh, 80, of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center of congestive heart failure.

She was born March 30, 1925, on a farm near Jesup, daughter of Sylvester and Helen Carroll Schilling. She married John C. Cavanaugh on April 6, 1946, in Waterloo. He died June 26, 1997.

Ms. Cavanaugh was a homemaker.

Survived by four sons, Jerry of Davenport, Larry (Marilyn) and Ron, both of Waterloo, and John (Mary Showalter) of Rochester, Mich.; three daughters, Jeanne (Craig) Brinker and Lynne (Tom) Kullen, both of Waterloo, and Lori Yone of Bolingbrook, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Barb) Schilling of Elk Run Heights; and a sister, LaVonne (Robert) Schultz of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Rogers and Patricia Schuler.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
