WATERLOO - Martha E. Jackson, 87, of Waterloo, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born April 26, 1918, in Ottumwa, daughter of Ralph and Marie Anderson Langdale. She married Floyd V. Jackson July 10, 1937, in Waverly. He died Oct. 28, 1987.

Mrs. Jackson was a custodian at the Hammond Avenue Brethren Church for almost 14 years, retiring Dec. 31, 1995.

Survived by two sons, Richard (Cassie) and Ronald L., both of Waterloo; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; a brother, Francis (Hazel) Langdale of Evansdale; and a sister, Muriel (Harold) Shindley of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a grandson; two brothers, Melvin and Walter Langdale; and two sisters, Betty Jean Langdale and Wilma Jones.

Private family services and burial: will be Friday at Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway.
