WATERLOO —Jean E. Kisling, 88, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born Aug. 5, 1925, in Chicago, daughter of George and Jeanette Bauer Valentine. She married Glenn Kisling on May 1, 1982, in Waterloo. He died July 6, 1990.

Mrs. Kisling worked at Northwestern Bell as a personnel clerk, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, where she also volunteered.

Survived by two sons, Dan (Joyce) Herzog of Taiwan and Jeff Herzog of Floyd, Va.; a grandson, Seth (Andrea) Herzog of Wichita, Kan.; and a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Herzog of Wichita.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.
