Funeral services for Henry C. Rieck, 70, of 519 Kirkwood Ave., who died Saturday at a Independence hospital of heart ailment will be at 1:30 p.m. in. Wednesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. The Rev. M. W. Bergmann pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Gar den of Memories. Friend may call at the Parrotl Wood Funeral Home until noon Wednesday. Those who wish may give memorials to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church chimes fund,

He was born on March 9, 1892, in Bremer County, the son of Henry and Minnie Dreier. He married Ann Staack on Feb. 22, 1922, at Hawkeye.

Following their marriage they farmed in Fayette County until 1928. They then lived at Sumner and Waverly and came to Waterloo in 1943. He was employed by the Rath Packing Co. from 1956 until he retired in 1958.

Mr. Rieck was a veteran of World War I. He belonged to Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are his widow, one son, Earl at 4023 Lafayette Rd., Evansdale, two daughters, Mrs. Robert Thompson of 713 Arbutus St.; Mrs. Lyle Wrage of Gladbrook; three sisters: Mrs. Louis Tietje, Waverly; Mrs. Arthur Brandt of Waverly; Mrs. Gustave Laube, Tripoli; two brothers, Otto of Tripoli and Albert of Sumner; and two half brothers, Emil Steege, 636 Ankeny St.; and Edwin Steege, residing in South Dakota; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
