Mrs. Anna L. Lawton, 96, died at the Evalyn Bonorden Nursing Home at 5:30 p.m. Sunday of complications due to advanced age.

She was born in Covey Hill Canada, on March 15, 1866, the daughter of Charles and Jane Kellas Brisbin. On June 5, 1901, she was married to Alfred E. Lawton at Napa, Calif. They cetebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1951.

Mrs. Lawton had been a Waterloo resident since 1906 and was a member of the First Congregational Church, Temple Rebekah 54, of which she was a former noble grand.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Susie A. Black, 821 W. 2nd St., one nephew, Fred G. Brisbin, Eagle Grove, and several grand nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Lawton was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services are pending at Locke Funeral Home.
