CEDAR FALLS- Helen Irene Wikner Sneller, 82, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Tripoli, died Monday, May 28, 2007, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 21, 1924, in Ihlen, MN, daughter of Ralph and Elsie Petersen Wikner. She married Charles Sneller on May 20, 1945 in Tripoli. They later divorced.

Ms. Sneller graduated from Tripoli High School in 1942 and then attended Gates Business College in Waterloo. In 1953, she retired from Rath Packing Co. due to her health.

Survivors include a son, Don Sneller of Bangor, WI; a daughter, Linda Sneller of Sumner; two grandchildren; a sister, Marianne Phelps of Champlin, MN; three brothers, Vernon (Bernita) Wikner of New Hampton, Ivan (Genieve) Wikner and Mark (Sydney) Wikner, of Cedar Falls; and one sister-in-law, Ann Wikner of Orlando, FL.

Preceded in death by a sister, Gladys; and three brothers, Ralph, John and James.

Family directed memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the chapel. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Christian Crusaders, Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, Nazareth Lutheran Church or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
