WATERLOO - Beverly Cummings, 71, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, in Colorado Springs.

She was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Dunkerton, daughter of Nellie and Glen Lumbus. She married Dale L. Cummings on Oct. 18, 1958, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1997.

After her husband's passing, a special friendship grew between Beverly and her brother-in-law, Russell of Oran.

She worked as a bank teller, office assistant and was active on the family farm.

Survived by a son, David Dale Cummings of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Janice Moore of Colorado Springs; two grandchildren; two sisters, Grace (Harold) Stickfort and Marion June (Alvin) Stickfort, both of Dunkerton; and a brother-in-law, Merlyn (Helen) Cummings of Santa Barbara, Calif.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Dunkerton. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
