Funeral services will be at 1 p. m. Monday at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel for Grover C. Hunt, 68, of 1122 Bauch St., who died Friday noon at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been ill for the past 10 days. Lt. Israel Velazques of the Salvation Army will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence.

He was born Oct. 3, 1885, at Heinzboro, Ill., the son of William and Lavina Cummings Hunt. He came to Iowa many years ago and lived in Independence for 25 years before coming to Waterloo 10 years ago.

He married Elsie Bradley at Independence June 3, 1921. He had been employed at the Rath Packing Co. until retiring a year ago.

Surviving are his wife; a son, George, 1427 Mulberry St.; a daughter, Katherine E., at home; two brothers, Albert, Trenton, Mo., and Leslie M., Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Meyers, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Nettie Cleveland, 218 W. 3rd St., and Mrs. Dollie Phipps, Benton Harbor, Mich., and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by four sons and three daughters.
