Edna Bjorklund, 86, of Waterloo, died at Covenant Medical Center, on Wednesday, January 6, 2010.

Edna Pearl Cox was born February 9, 1923, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Nellie Elderton Cox.

She married Clarence Hart in 1940 and they later divorced. Edna married Kenneth Holbrook on February 23, 1963 in Chatfield, Minnesota; he died January 3, 1978. She married Carroll Bjorklund in 1992; he died June 1, 1994.

Edna attended Barclay #9 and Jesup Consolidated Schools. She worked as a nurses' aide at Allen Hospital until 1960, then was self‑employed doing domestic work until 1986 then worked as a demonstrator for Hy-Vee.

Edna was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, a member of Waterloo Eagles Club, and also a deacon, member of Clowns for God, and the Mission group at Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a registered clown named "Trudy."

Edna was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her son Steven Hart Sr, and his wife Carol of Dahlonega, Georgia; daughter Elizabeth Priest and her husband Ronald of Reno, Nevada; daughter Mary Imhoff and her husband Tod of Omaha, Nebraska; ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Edna is preceded in death by a grandson, three infant brothers, sister Clara Jensen, and brothers Lawrence, Paul, and Oscar "Junior" Cox.

Services 11:00 a.m. Friday January 8, 2010 at Westminster Presbyterian Church
Visitation 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home and for an hour before the service at the church. Burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery Waterloo, Iowa
