John K. Dignan, 53, former Waterloo resident, was a youth a drug clerk at the Wood & Wyant Drug Store in Waterloo, and for 27 years a druggist at Belle Fourche, S. D., died . Sunday at the summer home of his sister, Mrs. C. F. Sheldon, of Moline, Ill., at Donahue, la.
He had been ill of heart disease for about a year, and had disposed of his interests in Belle Fourche.
He, was born in Waterloo Aug. 29, 1883, the son of John and Mary Dignan. He attended Waterloo schools and was graduated from Highland Park School of Pharmacy in Des Moines. Mr. Dignan was a member of the Masonic lodge in Belle Fourche.
He was unmarried. Surviving besides the sister in Moline is another sister, Mrs. E. H. Kraft, Chippewa Falls, Wis.
Masonic funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday by members of the two Wateroo lodges at Parrott & Wood funeral home, and Masonic commital services will be held at the grave in Fairview Cemetery.
